same can be said for bad people
Erna and Hrefna are eleven years old Icelandic identical twins. I started to photograph them when they were nine years old in 2009, and this will be an ongoing project until they are sixteen years old. I will visit them every year. My intention for this project is to capture the very precious period of their growth from child to teenager, physically as well psychologically. The relationship between identical twins is interesting subject matter. I often hear that identical twins have telepathic connections between them. This is true with Erna and Hrefna. They are always together. They almost never fight each other. Spending time with them I feel such comfort in their companionship but at the same time I feel strange because I have never seen such a powerful connection between any two human beings. They say to me, “We dream same dreams sometimes.”

The Rainbow Eucalyptus is one of Nature’s absolutely coolest trees showing off a true rainbow of colors. This tree is the only species of eucalyptus that grows in the northern hemisphere and is normally grown for its pulpwood, used to create white paper. But why does it look like it’s been painted? The secret behind the Rainbow Eucalyptus is actually pretty simple: the trees shed multiple patches of bark every year, but not at the same time. As the patches are gone, the green inner bark is exposed, and as it matures it turns bluish, then orange, purple and maroon. This creates the rainbow effect that makes these trees so incredible.
the kind of things that you have to see for real
Brazilian artist Regina Silveira creates incredible illusions that play with our senses and messes with our minds. In Lodz, Polland, she created an installation called Abyssal (Depth) where she incorporated the gallery’s architecture, particularly its windows, to show a never-ending abyss one could actually walk on.
